• Residential care for 74 people. These 74 beds are designed and fitted to accomodate either hospital or rest home residents.
• A carer support & respite service so that carers can have regular respite.

Forrest Hill rest home & hospital for the elderly is well-regarded by its residents,families and the community  for, among other things, the quality of its care, its spaciousness, and its high staff-to-resident ratio.

Forrest Hill Home & Hospital boasts three well-appointed residents' lounges, wheelchair ramps and private outdoor decks. Each bedroom is equiped with a washbasin, wardrobe, bed, chest of drawers and bedside cabinet. Residents are encouraged to furnish their room with some of their own furniture if that is their preference.

Forrest Hill Home & Hospital is a friendly and intimate aged care facility, nestled in amongst North Shore's leafy suburbia. All our services are professionally managed and we have a strong focus on providing personalised and nurturing care. The care we give our residents reflects our values of empathy, respect, and dignity. There's a real feeling of warmth here because we genuinely enjoy looking after our residents. To us, the elderly are the treasures of our society and should be valued as such.

Advocates for the elderly
We are totally against disrespect, abuse and disempowerment of our Taonga, the living historians and gatekeepers of our past. We believe everybody in our society has a right to be looked after, regardless of their age and it's a privilege to be involved in this role with our elderly. Our cook, for example, goes out of his way to ensure each resident gets the meals they need and enjoy because he genuinely cares for people and is respectful of diversity.

Family centred
We are very welcoming and enjoy interacting with the families of our residents. It matters to us how they are coping emotionally and practically with the transition of their loved one from their home to Forrest Hill Home & Hospital. We always offer our time, attention and support in whatever way we can. Every family member is invited into the care-planning process and there are regular reviews with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure both individual and family needs are met.
